Home Organization Project
A setup-execute-review approach to home organization. Prepare supplies and staging areas, then execute recurring weekly decluttering sessions, and review results. Each phase builds on the previous one.
Decluttering Plan
Create a clear plan for both rooms with sorting zones, storage decisions, and a 4-week schedule so all 4 weekly sessions are assigned before hands-on work begins. When complete, both target rooms are defined and the full 4 hours per week are mapped out for the 4-week goal.
- Assess Rooms BaselineWalk through the two rooms you want to declutter and record the starting condition for each one so progress is measurable. Note what each room is currently used for, major clutter hotspots, storage limitations, and an honest baseline for the tracked metrics: how many rooms are currently organized versus still needing work, and how you will divide your available 4 hours per week across the 4-week timeline.Compliance2h 20m
- Set Sorting StationsPrepare the decluttering system before you begin by choosing the two target rooms and setting up simple staging areas and supplies for sorting. Gather bags, boxes, labels, cleaning materials, and containers, then define clear categories such as keep, donate, trash, relocate, and undecided so each work session moves quickly and consistently.Compliance3h 35m
Room Reset
Complete the main decluttering and organizing work so 2 rooms are sorted, unnecessary items are removed or reassigned, and each room has an ordered layout that is easier to use day to day. When complete, the goal's target of 2 decluttered and organized rooms has been reached within the planned 4 hours per week pace.
- Refine Storage SystemsDo an in-progress reset session after the main decluttering is underway to fine-tune both rooms. Adjust storage solutions, label key zones, deal with any undecided piles, and make small layout changes that improve daily use and help the organized spaces stay functional beyond the initial cleanout.Compliance5h 55m
Space Review
Confirm both rooms stay functional by reviewing what was organized, making small fixes, and documenting simple reset habits for the future. When complete, both finished rooms have a maintained system and a short follow-up plan that supports a less stressful living space.
- Review Room ResultsAfter both rooms are finished, evaluate how well the new setup supports a more functional and less stressful living space. Compare the final state to your starting baseline, confirm that both rooms were completed within the planned 4-week effort, note what organization choices worked best, and outline a simple maintenance approach to keep clutter from building back up.4h 10m
